2019, not a year we want to look back....

Well, its nearly time to say Good Bye to 2019.....

The year started with hope, but soon turned rough when Felix fell sick, which unfortunately coincided with my mother being not well either..... By now, luckily, every one is able to slowly climb out of the trough and continue their life journey in relative peace and happiness..... , while I thrive to keep my job (to meet Felix's medical bill!!) Haha !! Thanks be to God!!

Just a brief summary on the kid's condition:

Goldie

A good girl she remains. As a 15 year old lady, I would say she is keeping up decently. A blood test in October found out that her GGT was alarming at 86 (normal 0-4) and her weight was on a minor downtrend. Ultrasound did showed some signs of degeneration for some organs (which is inevitable).  Luckily having taken both Western and CTM, her GGT return to normal (at 0 in 12/19)  and her weight was up a notch (my best X'mas present).

Thank you, dear. Let's keep on improving - eat well, rest well and be happy!!

Betty

The most caring child amongst the three. She is a dear little angel to the family. She usually greets her brother/sister when they return from vet consultation and seldom fights for attention. At most, she will join Felix in his daily exercise fun. Though sometimes, she is a bit picky on food, she managed to gain some weight. Her fur seems to have thickened a bit too!

Thank you, dear. You have a big loving heart! As the middle child, you sometimes might feel being neglected. Rest be assured, its not mean't to be so, and we will try to improve on this. Just continue to run, play, eat and sleep well and enjoy the family fun!

Felix

The year began with hope, as his blood platelet slowly return to normal, after suffering from drug allergy in late 2018. However, good days never lasted long. In March, his bile and liver condition deteriorated. Got his gall bladder removed and a temporary stent was placed in his twisted bile duct. However, the road to recovery was very rough and tough. July, was the worst period, when he was in and out of hospital on alternate weeks, and plans were underway for a second operation to insert a permanent stent.

With the grace of God, while waiting for the permanent stent (arrived in 9/19), the new drugs and CTM treatments started to shed light. Although it is still too early to announce of his recovery, at least he had been staying out from hospitalization for 4 months already. With love, care, vigilance and proper medical treatment, we will continue to keep our fingers crossed that he can avoid being "butchered".... haha.

Thank you, dear for being a good child and excellent patient. We think you know that all the treatment are for your long term good and you co-operate brilliantly. Just hang in there. Have faith! Be optimistic and patient! Hopefully we will soon see the sunrise!

Wishing all our readers, their family and loved ones, a Happy, Safe and Blessed 2020 !!

A disappointment

Due to social unrest, All Saints Church had cancelled their annual Saint Francis Xavier Service this year.....

Because we were not aware of the cancellation, we went to the church as usual and took some photos before heading home.....

Lucky that we went back home shortly, for demonstrators passed our place.... and look at nosy Betty

Recently, I have known of 2 cat parents who passed away... very sad indeed.... but luckily their family members have honored to continue to take care of the remaining cats.

My beloved Kitty had left us for 5 years already. Time flies. With the help of Goldie, Betty and Felix, my wound is healing well. But there are still moments, that warm past memories will resurface into life.

Kitty dear, please don't worry about us. Enjoy your time with grandpa and keep him company for he likes you a lot. If you want to, you know you are always welcome to visit us, for which I think you still do. Just continue with your new life in happiness, good health and peacefulness.

Love you forever dear!

Once in a life time experience....

Topping up onto a prize Betty won associated with the title of Overall Champion in the Cat category 貓萌主 in a competition sponsored by SENS Pet Ltd., all 3 kids had a private photo taking session by a professional photographer.

Below are some of the interesting shots...… Mummy knows she must work hard to polish her skills..... haha

Prize collection and sharing time

Life is full of surprises and we are honored to be able to share some of the prizes with other less fortunate children. Thanks be to God!

Felix joined a competition sponsored by Ghana pie甘那派  and came out third. The prize was gorgeous, but unfortunately, could not be shared.

Goldie and Betty was chosen as finalist in a photo competition sponsored by SENS Pet Limited.  Because third party voting only account for 30% of the overall score, while 70% was being determined by the Sponsor, we did not aggressively appeal for support.

To our surprise, Betty came out as the Overall Champion in the Cat category 貓萌主. Due to restrictions in title transfer for the free photo and grooming sessions, we only managed to donate the other prizes (including Goldie's consolation prize) to help others.

The children seem to like their prized photo taken by SENS Pet Limited.
